Sophia Keziah HAYNES (recorded HAINES) christened 12th February 1813 at Brasted, Kent. Married Thomas HALL on 2nd May 1842. His date of birth was 20th January 1813. He died aged 45 on 22nd February 1858 and is buried at Hever Churchyard, Kent. She later married Richard Smith. She ran the Henry VIII Inn (which is still a pub!) with her husband Thomas, at Hever, opposite the Castle until 1866, and then The Star Inn at Brasted, Kent with her husband Richard, which they then owned and ran from 1866. This pub closed circa 1999 and it has now been converted into two cottages In the 1881 census she is living at the Star Inn with her husband Richard. She died aged 89 at Sevenoaks, Kent (2a 455).
