Marriage: Abt. Jun 1847, Newington, London/Surrey Maria Martha HAYNES christened 11th June 1815 at Brasted, Kent. She married John Smith and they lived at The Bower Farm, Hever, Kent. They had two children George born 1854 and Sarah (Sally) born 1848. George married Emily born 1858 at Westerham. They had a daughter named Annie L Smith born 1876 at Brasted, Kent. Sarah married Robert George Wenman born 1849 at Bromley. In the 1881 census Sarah and Robert are living at Chart Cottage, Brasted, Kent together with their children Frances A born 1876 at Chiddingstone and Ruth E born May 1880 at Brasted. Maria is also living with them - she is a widow. In Brasted churchyard - "Sophia Kate eldest child of Robert George and Sarah Wenman 22nd October 1872 in her fourth year." Sarah (sally) Wenman was writer of one of the "letters" dated 29th December 1880
